File Menu

• Apply : Activates selected restrictions
• Clear : Removes all restrictions
• Save Preset : Stores selected restrictions in a preset
• Import Presets... : Imports presets from a previously exported data file
• Export Presets... : Exports presets to an external data file
• Deploy : (Not available during evaluation) Saves restrictions, settings and license to a special file that can be used to install and automatically activate the same configuration on multiple computers easily
• Hide : Hides Deskman
• Exit : Quits Deskman

View Menu

• Highlight Main Policies : Marks a selected number of specially useful policies
• Highlight No-Maintenance Policies : Marks persistent restrictions
• Expand All : Opens all restriction branches in all tabs
• Collapse All : Closes all restriction branches in all tabs
• Uncheck All : Deselects all restrictions in all tabs
• Delete Preset : Allows you to delete presets

Options Menu

• Disable Custom Key : Allows you to disable a custom key, or combination
• Add Start Menu Application : Allows you to add a new application entry in the Start Menu tab
• Get Running Applications : Refreshes the list of running applications in the Apps tab
• Add Web Keywords : Allows you to add new keywords in the Web tab
• Language : Allows you to manually select the user interface language
• Settings : Opens the Settings window

Tools Menu

• New Task (Run...) : Executes a command
• Log off : Logs off the current user
• Restart : Restarts Windows
• Shut down : Shuts down the PC
• Sleep : Puts the system to sleep

Help Menu

From the Help menu you can access different sections of this User Guide, purchase Deskman, visit our website, etc.

• View License Details : Open this window to view license information, version and register your copy
• Check for Updates : Checks if there are new Deskman versions available

Action Buttons

• Apply : Click it to activate selected restrictions
• Clear : Click it to remove all restrictions
• Presets : Click it to load one of the available presets
• Settings : Click it to open the Settings window
• Help : Click it to open this User's Guide
• Hide : Click it to hide Deskman

Restriction Tabs

• Policies : Restrictions to protect the desktop, Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, the system, the Start Menu, the taskbar, and drives
• Keys : Restrictions to disable system keys, mouse buttons or other keys or key combinations
• Start Menu : Options to enable the Safe Start Menu
• Apps : Options to block applications
• Web : Options to block websites
• Taskman : Options to enable the Safe Task Manager
